The Crown
City Bassmasters
is a club of dedicated bass
fisherman. The club was started in 1976 in
Cortland, New York.
Our meetings
are held on the first Wednesday of each
month at 7pm.
We are currently meeting at the
Homer Elks Lodge #2506.
The Elks Lodge has been great meeting place
and the Elks have been wonderful hosts since
our permanent move in 2003. Our Annual
Sports Sale moved to the Elks meeting hall
in 2001 and has become a very successful
community event.
We are very
proud to have some of NY State's top BASS
anglers as active members of our club. Joe
Matt, Nick Giamei, Andy Warholic, Tim
Dennis, Mike Ventura and John Badman are
just a few of our members who have gone
beyond our club to fish State and National
tournaments. Joe Matt, our president, is a
Pro Staff Member for Bass Pro Shops Auburn
store. Our "6 Man Team", which comes from
our Draw Trail, has always placed high at
the NY State Federation competitions. And
our Team Bass Trail pulls some of the best
teams from all over NY State.

Our
DRAW TRAIL
tournaments are held on Saturdays. We have 9
points tournaments and a Classic for anyone
who has fished 5 points tournaments. The
Draw Trail helps to develop the fishing
skills of all of our members, non-boaters
and boaters alike. If you are just starting,
need practice at tournament events or if you
just want to meet a great bunch of
fishermen, the Draw Trail is for you.
The
TEAM BASS
trail was developed to
give our experienced anglers a chance to
fish at a slightly more intense level and
for a little more prize money. If you have a
partner that you always like to fish with
and you are looking for a challenge than the
Team Bass trail is for you. |
CCBM membership makes you eligible for
both trails. So you don’t have to choose. If
your schedule allows you can fish both
trails or just volunteer and hang out with a
great bunch of fishermen. But you should be
warned it’s mostly about the fishing…..
All of our
tournaments are 100% Pay Back. Our
officers and organizers are all volunteers.
We raise money to pay for operating expenses
by; selling raffle tickets, sponsoring an
Annual Sports Sale and "volunteering"
assistance for some sponsor functions. Many
thanks to our volunteers, they never get
enough credit.
Please enjoy our
web site and if you are in the Central NY
area drop us a line and stop into a meeting.
Advance warning is always good because our
schedules and locations may vary on short
notice and we don’t want to miss you.
