All boats must carry all equipment
to meet state and US Coast Guard regulations and
$300,000 liability insurance coverage. All
contestants are required to wear a life vest when
the internal combustion engine is in operation.
Only casting, spin-casting and
spinning tackle may be used. Any number of
rods are permitted in the boat, but only one may be
used at a time.
Only artificial baits may be used.
No alcoholic beverages may be on
board a boat or consumed by any contestant during
the tournament or disqualification will result.
A team member can't fish alone.
There must be two anglers per boat. A team is
allowed to sub two times a year (new in 2007)
Subs must be 16 or older. The first sub may be
a non-member. The second sub must be a member
of Crown City Bassmasters.
Trolling is prohibited. Drift
fishing is permitted.
A penalty of 4 ozs. shall be
deducted for each dead fish. The lunker can't
be dead.
Short fish (less than 12 inches,
mouth closed, tail fanned) will be penalized one
pound. That fish will not be scored.
All boats must return to the
weigh-in area by water. If a team breaks down,
they may come in by water in a different boat.
Any boat checking in late for the
weigh-in will be assessed a penalty of 8 ozs. per
three minute period. After 15 minutes, the
team will be disqualified.
The championship
waters will be designated off limits at sundown on
the Sunday prior to the event. There are no
off limits prior to any points tournament.
All locks will be opened on all
tournament waters. There will be no other off
limits unless specified.
The highest standard of sportsmanshp
shall be practiced by all members at all times.
